For 2000 years roaming beneath the deep sea of the North Atlantic Ocean at 600 meters below, unexposed to the atmosphere, due to a rise in ocean current 2~3 km off the shore of Kumejima; deep sea water was formed.
Characteristics of Deep Sea water vs. Surface Water
Low temperature:Stabilized low temperature for several years.
Rich in nutrient:Contains phytoplanktons which do not rely upon sunlight for supply of energy, hence preserve rich nutrient salt.
Cleanliness:Decomposition of organic matter resulted in little to no contact with the pollutants of today.
Kumejima Deep Sea Water Label
The utilization of the Kumejima Deep Sea Water label helps to emphasize the authenticity of our water. Our facility is close to the Kumejima Deep Sea Water Research Centre and through a water pipeline deep sea water is transferred directly to our facility. The water is unexposed to the outside environment, and is not contaminated by bacteria or chemicals; hence gives us the purest and highest quality deep sea water.
A Natural Skincare Product of Kumejima
Skin benefits of deep sea water. Deep sea water contains micronutrients and minerals. It increases skin metabolism rate, reduces skin inflammation, is gentle on the skin, has great hydrating properties, and is highly permeable. It is commonly used on bath salts and cosmetics. Our deep sea water is extracted directly from the pipeline of Kumejima Deep Sea Water Research Centre 2.3 miles off the shore of Kumejima and 612 meters below sea level in Okinawa prefecture to our facility. The water is then refined into cosmetics highly absorbent and rich in minerals.
